The Steinerwirt has been a pillar of the Lofer village square for over 400 years. The building now enjoys protection as an historical landmark. Originally established as a tavern in 1606, Steinerwirt has played a central role as a beloved and popular gathering place in the region ever since.
Steinerwirt closed its doors 25 years ago but now we’ve brought it back to life, through extensive renovation, modernization and expansion. Our goal is to restore its reputation as a place for relaxation, for congregation, a charming locale where old traditions live anew.
We’re proud to revitalize this beloved landmark and are looking forward to a prosperous future here in Lofer.
