Whether you’re looking for a relaxing walk through meadows and forests, or a taxing tour in the Pinzgauer mountain range, the region surrounding Lofer offers a wide array of well-marked trails in all categories of difficulty.
You can begin a number of routes right outside our front door:
- Short tour/1 Hour
This tour takes you to the Kalvarienberg Chapel, the Loewenquelle spring and then back to Lofer via the forest trail.
- Middle Tour/1.5 Hours
Walk through the pedestrian zone towards the Teufelsteg bridge. From there you’ll head to the Beiraupark and through the village of Scheffesnoth before returning to Lofer.
- Long Tour/4 Hours
Take the tram, free of charge, to the middle station at Loderbichl. From there you take the Wasserfallweg adventure trail up to the Loferer Alm where you’ll find alpine taverns for snacks, refreshments and a well-deserved rest. Return along the same route.
